It's a nice warm (86 F) end of summer day outside of Kyiv. I have been invited to join some friends at a reservoir for a sailing regatta. There was no wind to begin with so the regatta was delayed and then a mild breeze allowed the event to go on. With my swimming ability being about the same as rock and then when it comes to life vests, well not really, (This is Ukraine after all)! My choice was to enjoy myself in the shade on shore, read, take photos and just relax. I think my choice may have been the best as they were on the water for a solid 5 hours under the sun. I was relaxed at the end of the day. My friends however were roasted to a nice red hue ))
After a long day of sailing, or in my case resting in the shade, we all had a good appetite. So off we went to one of John's favorite restaurants near where he lives. What you see in the following photos: seared tuna with mango and strawberry sauce. Apple, ginger and cinnamon tea and panna cotta. The food you will find in this city is varied and incredible. Come and visit Ukraine. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
